Suffering from iPosture? Text Neck? iSlouch?

You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to know that a lot of time spent on your phones and tablets can effect your posture. But you might consider whether your posture effects your mood as well.    It appears to be a two-way street that mood can effect posture as well as posture can effect mood.   The author, Amy Cuddy (a professor at the Harvard Business School) and her partners have done some preliminary research indicating that the smaller the device, the poorer the posture resulting in less assertive behavior.  It’s far from hard research, but worthy of some personal investigation.   One 2015 study cited in this NY Times article published in “Health Psychology” concludes that “sitting upright may be a simple behavioral strategy to build resilience to stress.”  CLICK HERE to read the NYT article
